UNC Common Ground Collaborative

The UNC System Common Ground Collaborative is a new initiative for faculty to share teaching practices that foster dialogue, discourse, and debate in ways that strengthen students’ communication, critical thinking, and capacity to engage constructively across differences. The inaugural Common Ground Collaborative Convening will be held at UNC Charlotte on May 14, 2026, and will bring together colleagues from across disciplines and institutions to learn from one another, exchange ideas, and highlight effective classroom practices.
