Apply to become a Charlotte Conversationalist on Hire-a-Niner or on this form.
Charlotte Conversationalists will take a course during Summer II (UCOL2200) to learn the Constructive Dialogue Institute Perspectives curriculum, which teaches one how to engage in respectful, empathetic, and open conversations. In fall 2023 and spring 2024, Charlotte Conversationalists will facilitate dialogues among students outside the classroom (most likely held in residence halls or the library) on social and political issues, so students will learn how to converse respectfully with others who have differing views from their own. Charlotte Conversationalists will host 2-4 student dialogue sessions over the course of the academic year.
We have 10 positions open; $10 per hour for approximately 5 hours per week.
